Do you remember pulling the liner notes out of your CD (or cassette or 8-track) cases, reading them cover to cover, and memorizing the song lyrics to all your favorite tracks? It’s something that people don’t do anymore thanks to the digital music revolution that completely transformed the way we purchase and consume music.
The Recording Academy created Behind The Record is a social media initiative to #GIVECREDIT to the songwriters, engineers, producers, and other music professionals behind our favorite songs. This year’s campaign focused on the creativity and magic it takes to create something out of nothing, and how every track is an intricate dance that builds and builds to the final product.
